Donation Request for Benches Around the Lake!

The Hawthorne II Homeowners Association is accepting personal donations for the purchase of beautiful stone and iron benches for placement around the lake.  Each bench can include a brass plaque noting your generosity and include a tribute of your liking i.e. in memory of, community organization, alma mater, etc.

Approximately 5 benches may be eventually placed around the lake.  To cover the expense of the bench, shipping, brass plaque and concrete pad donations being sought are $1,000 per bench.  If you are interested in making such a donation please contact Len Mroz, President via the email contact information within this website.

Welcome to one of Central Illinois’ premiere subdivisions!  The Hawthorne II Homeowner’s Association (H2HA) encompasses three areas for  single family and duplex condominium living:  Hawthorne II, Hawthorne Acres, and Hawthorne Commons.   We have over 223 homes in these areas.

This website is for the homeowners of the Hawthorne II community, a virtual meeting place to post important information, share our activities, and showcase community events.

There are lots of activities around our community so make it a point to check this website regularly for events and important notices.

As homeowners of Hawthorne II we take pride in the beauty of our community.  Upon entrance into any of these areas, you will notice aesthetically designed homes with large, professionally landscaped yards. The nine-acre lake is surrounded by a sidewalk perfect for a peaceful stroll or for those wishing to jog, skate or bicycle.  A gentle waterfall flows into the lake.  At night the lampposts illuminate the sidewalk while casting reflections across the water accompanied by three lighted fountains in the lake.

A branch of the Constitution Trail, for biking and walking, begins just to the south on GE Road, and commercial services such as banking, a coffee shop, wellness center, eateries, and other services are close at hand.   Check out the map on the left for locations and directions to Hawthorne II from Google maps.
